Antica Casa Scarpa

Top U.S. wine educator and new Slow Wine editor Deborah Parker Wong tastes Scarpa Monferrato Freisa Secco La Selva di Moirano.

Last week, our U.S. blogger Jeremy Parzen sat down with leading wine educator Deborah Parker Wong on Zoom to taste the Scarpa 2013 Monferrato Freisa Secco La Selva di Moirano.

Deborah (above) “is one of the best technical tasters I’ve ever had the opportunity to work with,” says Jeremy.

See the video below.

The two also discussed Deborah’s new role as the coordinating editor of the Slow Wine Guide for North America. In the video she talks about the expansion of the guide, which will now include Washington and New York states, and how she and her team of contributors are stepping up to the challenges of writing and editing the guide in the time of the pandemic.
